I was doing a bit of research on the womens attendance this season and last. I noticed average attendance for last season was 2931. This season the average bumped up to 3824, an increase of 893. I would anticipate no drop off in the future, in fact, I advise folks to consider purchasing season tickets now. There may come a time when the MAC will be sold out for the women's games and many will wonder, "How did you ever get a season ticket?" Now would be a good time. Here are the home attendance figures for this season for the WCC:

Games-Total-Average

Gonzaga 14-53530 3824
Loyola Marymount 12-6056 505
Pepperdine 14-4897 350
Portland 13-5876 452
Saint Mary's 16-8937 559
San Diego 15-7192 479
San Francisco 13-8306 639
Santa Clara 12-6730 561

If you do the math you will note, once again, the Zags outdrew the rest of the WCC combined! Great support for a deserving team!

Section 116, thanks for this info. Gonzaga's fan support is far and above all the other conference members.

I was noticing, in the last few weeks, when I was looking at the USF web site that they were bragging about being second in the WCC in average attendance for their women's basketball team. Conveniently, the article never mentioned how far they trailed the Lady Zags in attendance.

Congrats to the Lady Zags and the coaching staff for putting together such an exciting and winning basketball program.

My mom is a professor at GU and she's gone to almost all the home games this year both men and women. She said it was the single most exciting year to be a Zag and she thought we might actually beat Stanford.

The fact that we outdrew the other teams combined is something I had no idea was possible.

Great day, week, month, year and entire lifetime to be a Zag!!!

Lets get 2 teams in the Sweet 16!
