That's all! Just wanted to acknowledge what a great game he played. Those first half phenomenal numbers then those late ice-water-in-the-veins free throws.

Whatta player! Whatta "championship" game!

:]

Dower's first half was one of the best halfs a Zag ever played, Morrison included, he has grown up so much this season. And he is a freshman!

Do we have another Casey Calvary type in our midst?

My roommate (gonzaga hater, LMU manager) said, "he's a junior right?"

Imagine the smirk on my face when I told him he was just a freshman :)

What, are you kidding me? Much improvement is needed in his game.

That missed shot was inexcusable. Should have been 8-8. And only 21 points in 22 minutes? I thought he was supposed to produce a point per minute. Lame. And he may have been 7-7 from the line, but he should have gotten there more often.

Better get to work, young man.

Great post. Name from the past, especially appropriate with St johns revival. Walter was a Wooden winner, a street ball, nails tough kid from the City. Dower has some of those traits, and being from Brooklyn doesn't hurt. Once asked what he wants to be when he grows up, Walter, then in high school, said "a new York city subway motorman." A very guileless kid who never made it in league.

Interesting. You are right. Left handed, instant offense. He even shoots the ball like Berry. Now let's get Sam on the cover of SI.

I thought he should have seen even more time in the 2nd half with Sacre kind of stagnant. Unreal play from a guy that no one knew about till GU recruited him. He shores up some defense and we are seeing a WCC player of the year pretty soon. He does have the ice water veins but like Stockton and Carter , gets excited at the big plays and good calls. I though he was supposed to be a 'dirty' scorer where it doesnt look pretty but it goes in - well it looks freakin pretty to me.
