Few is Coach of the Year, on top of being Coach of the Decade.

Maybe I'm dense, or perhaps tonight's game enticed me into having one beer too many. To what move are you referring? The foul?

It changed the game... Loved the call and I would have defended the call had it went the other way. It most def was not typical Few. I heard the announcer in the moment, but anyone who has watched the zags in Few's tenure knows that is not his typical mindset. Maybe Meech fouled the frosh on his own? Regardless, loved it.......

fouling Holt w 10 secs left instead of allowing a potential tying 3

Never before have I ever seen Few do that

I was suprised to see the foul that early. If it had gotten down to say 5 or 6, definitely. Still, it worked out, which at this point is all that matters.

Ahh, yes. You're right, Few's always resisted that move. But it strikes me as the obvious play. Statistically, you're better off committing the foul. Congrats for doing what you should've been doing all along.

yeah I was hoping he would let the clock run down a little but I was extremely surprised few called that.

NO WAY meech fouls on his own, he allowed the kid to go and get the ball and then fouled him.....they knew who they wanted on the line and it was planned.

Just know yourself. Do you stand a better chance of losing on the free throw line or on the 3 point line?

                    No brainer imo.

Came up in the game thread. I think he was 'no more'. Win it at the line or go home. None of this last second 3 #### from SMC.

                        Great call.

                          very uncharacteristic

it was very uncharacteristic for few and i think it blew randy's mind......maybe mark can still learn some new in-game tricks ...

Great call. It's a wonder teams don't do it more. With a team like St. Mary's who has a number of deadly three point shooters, it just makes sense. Even if the team makes both free throws, you are up by one WITH the ball out of bounds. Granted, if a poor foul shooter gets fouled on the inbound, it can be nerve wracking, but with Dower at the line, it put us up 4. I think this was a great call by Few.
