Over who? G-Prep?

The way this season has gone, GU shouldn't be favored by that much against any D-I men's basketball team.

Holy smokes. I like it though.

If Manny had a good practice we win by 15.5!!

;)

Not likely. BUT it would be nice!

USF plus 14 points?

I would call that a lock to win money.

If by slim chance GU did win by that much, my confidence in this team would be soaring for the trip to Moraga.

Love the post and humor Zig. Assuming we do win by a large margin Arop better at least get some garbage time minutes...

Yow, 14.5 is insane. If I were a betting man, I'd be taking USF on that one easy.

Back in my betting days, whenever I thought a line was way off and it was easy money, I was almost always right - it was easy money FOR MY BOOKIE.

This line is a good sign.

if he's feeling better, would prefer he does it on the court during games when his number is called :) he hasn't for some time in that situation, yes? but I still believe he can, still hope he can.

bottom line, he gets caught out of position on both ends of the floor too much. you get that, right? it's the end of February, man. all of you calling for more Manny minutes (like I was for much of the season, too), you get that fact, right? maybe this evening he changes that. I hope.

or, Few is mishandling him to the detriment of the team.

Did half of their team miss the flight from Portland?

It looks like vegas agrees Manny could play. why else would they increase the spread ? good call !

The spread seems quite high, when you consider our Zags gave up 10 points in 21 seconds Thursday night.

Vegas saw the headline that all the USF players were wearing heart monitors,
but didn't read the story.

lets mortgage both your homes and go partners on a really big bet against the spread ? what do you say ? We could make a fortune !

You guys could move in to doublewides.

Have you seen Hondo lately?? He needs something bigger than a double wide.:jk:

I don't do the gambling thing, mostly because I don't fully understand some of the numbers. But in this case, let's say it its 15.5 or whatever. You have $10 and you bet that GU won't win by that many points (16, right? the .5 point?) and you would get 10 dollars in return?

Probably more complicated than that, I am sure.

Vegas is the world's largest fertilizer manufacturing complex ever known to man. It takes everyone's money and turns it into sh!t.

In most cases you would need to risk $11 to win $10.

There are a lot of smart people who are idiots when it comes to understanding making a bet on a basketball game in Vegas.

Hand the casino $11 and pick a team (and you give points if you bet on the favorite, or receive points if you bet on the underdog). If you win, you collect $21. If you lose, waive good bye to your $11.

It is that simple.

Zags currently up by 19 w/ 5:15 to play. . .one wonders how many $$ the sportsbooks sucked in on the Dons. . .

And it came down to USF's last layup...oddsmakers were right on this one. (Great win for the Zags!)
