Zack Rosen. 6'1" 170 lbs PG from Newark, NJ. St. Benedict's HS. Runs with the New York Elite AAU team.

COLLEGE INTEREST; Rutgers, Iowa State, William & Mary, Washington State, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Stanford, Gonzaga, and Seton Hall.

I just don't think he's a top option, though.

That might be a stale list. He's not on the Hoyas radar from this list:

Doing a year of prep, as a 5th year senior at the school. That squad plays a high-profile schedule and is usually ranked somewhere nationally. Another squad is regular h.s. varsity and eligible for NJISAA playoffs into the Tournament of Champions.

DuBois also said that Zach Rosen (left), who transferred into St. Ben's from Colonia High for this year, would most likely play for the prep team next season. Earlier reports that Rosen would attend Stanford next season were incorrect. Rosen is averaging 8.5 ppg and a team-high 5.1 apg for the varsity squad this year.

"Right now, it looks like Zach is going to return and play for the prep team next year," DuBois said. "He may be a fifth-year senior. That way he can still do any additional core work that needs to be done, if any. He's pretty sound academically. I know part of it is that he lost his junior year due to a baseball injury. Right now he's looking at doing two years."

Strange, maybe ESPN was onto something for once.

Strange, maybe ESPN was onto something for once.

They still have him listed for Gonzaga, they've dropped Georgetown. Rank order of schools is interesting. (Those so keenly interested to find out can part with the token to help fund Andy's salary.)

His high school is all boys, Benedictines, uniforms (snappy blazers), solid teaching, and a lot of "Yes, sirs" and "No, sirs" around the place.

Scout has BZ's list; ESPN has a list of 5 from Scout,Inc. and Rivals in December claimed Seton Hall, Pennsylvania, Penn State and Virginia Tech led for his services.

Stanford talk might have come from a notorious smack-talking board populated by teens, touting the names of friends (maybe themselves?) for fanned flames about recruiting interest, and found here.

where is ROSEN going for school? I thought I read somewhere he was going to Stanford.
is Anell going to get PT or ride the pine next year at Bennie's?

:fingergun:

Given all the above, it's hard to divine what the future might hold. Given an LOI to Gonzaga, it "might" be possible to get a little game video from next season uploaded to YouTube. Interview from HSBN with Zach is here:
