The Ducks should win it tonight.

If a cup was won and nobody was there to watch it... would it make a difference?

Kidding... sort of. I lost interest in the NHL after the strike. Honestly I find more enjoyment in watching minor league hockey.

The NHL has miles and miles to go to win back what few fans they had prior to the strike.

I'd never turn down Islander tix but not going out of my way to buy them either.

If I had not seen this thread, I would not have known the Stanley Cup had reached the finals. I do not watch much hockey anymore. I cannot tell you the name of any coach or player on either team.

I like the handshakes at the end of a series, and skating around the rink with the Cup at the end of it all. That is a good tradition.

The NHL does it right by playing the games every other day to get it over with. With coast to coast travel, those guys have to be running low on gas. When do the NBA playoffs end? July?

Each member of the winning team gets to bring the Stanley Cup to his hometown. Hockey fans show up to see "the Cup." They even let you touch the Cup. My son and nephew did when the Cup was in Liberty Lake a few years ago.
I doubt the Larry O'Brien Trophy would draw a crowd.

Wow, how many years has it been since a Canadian team has won the cup?
