Thanks, OK-ZagFan! Nice to get the early report.

Gary Bell: Gary scores 35 points to lead Kentridge over Tahoma 66-52, per the Seattle Times. Former prospect Christian Behrens had 26 for Tahoma.

Photo album of the game on Washington Preps

And a photo of Gary from that album:

OK-ZagFan, this is a off-topic a bit, but in case you haven't been visiting long enough to get a feel or the composition of the roster, where Ryan fits in, and what we might see in the future, below is a scholarship table for the next few years. Colors represent the year of arrival at GU.

"Word" is the staff is looking to add two athletic bigs and another guard in 2012.

The last three players are walk-ons.

Thanks for the update. It looks like Spangler has his work cut out for him, but I think he will be able to stand up to the challenge.

Someone mentioned earlier this year that Bell needed to work on this free throws...

5 for 5 and 11 for 11 in those last two games! He must read this board, WOW!
One of the greatest stories in basketball history...Gonzaga!

A rare thing happened to the Ferris boys basketball team Tuesday. The Saxons trailed going into the fourth quarter against the North Central Indians.

9 assists and 7 steals also for Sarbaugh, all in 3 quarters. He can definitely score but whenever I watch him he seems to be very comfortable as a distributor. Should fit well with scorers like Bell and Dranginis.

Thanks for the find! There's a nice Dan Pelle photo with that story too:

Spangler's stat line, updated through last night's game with the box scores from okrankings.com, with the most recent stats highlighted in blue:

Turns out he had 17 blocks in that Duncan game, to add to his 20 points. Man, he must have been working his tail off!

Gary Bell: Anyone in the Seattle area going to the Les Schwab Shootout in Kent tonight? From the Kent Reporter:
LES SCHWAB SHOOTOUT IN KENT: Kentwood, Kentridge boys game highlights schedule

After hitting a small bump in the road, urgency has returned to the Kentwood High boys basketball team.

With star guard Gary Bell and Kentridge on the horizon in the featured game of Friday night’s third-annual Les Schwab Shootout in Kent at the ShoWare Center, the Conquerors could not have picked a better time to right the ship.
                              ...
Kentridge upended Kentwood 52-51 on Dec. 14 thanks to a layup by Bell in the final seconds.

The key this time around for the Conquerors?

“Not let Gary make the last-second shot,” Davis deadpanned.

Bell, who will play at Gonzaga University next season on a full-ride scholarship, delivered a team-high 18 points in the win. If Bell can do it again, the Chargers would be in the driver’s seat for the SPSL North crown, something they have not won since the 2007-2008 season, when Kentridge tied Decatur and Kentwood for the top honor.
