Check out the Red Rock Canyon Marathon and Half.
My daughter are running the half-marathon. Hope to see a few Zag fans there. We can have a beer at the Orleans after the race.

I think it would be a much better idea to have 2-3 beers directly BEFORE the race.

I hiked with a group to Turtlehead Peak in Red Rock Canyon a couple of years ago while attending a conference in LV. Beautiful area, and I love the idea of doing something so "non-Vegas" while on a long weekend in Vegas. (Plus, running on or near the strip sucks.) Unfortunately, though, I won't be able to make the tourney this year. Maybe next year for both tourney and race.

aaah, c'mon! it's an adventure!

while we were there two years ago, i ran every morning of our 5 day trip to vegas...all on the strip. i even got in a 3 mile run on that saturday afternoon...it was crazy.

I ran 6 miles on a treadmill after work and am stiff from that. Another 7.1 would be too much to ask for without some serious training. Even then, I'd be limping for the rest of the trip.

I have entered the Sat, Sun and Mon night beer runs.

Next year maybe....can't make it down this year. It's too bad because I should be ready for a 1/2 by march

The only runners I'll see in Vegas work for the Keno stations!

Go Zags!

relax & bear witness, if not partake of, the seven deadly sins. Plus basketball.

There will be a group of 4-5 of us doing the half at Red Rocks this year. There were two that did it last year and had a great time. I watched and cheered on last year, but will be doing it this year. The race is well put together for a newer race in it's first 3 years I think. The area is beautiful and another great way to enjoy Vegas. The bus ride to and from seem expensive, but a rental car may be the way to go. We rented last year and had no problem getting out there other than waking up after a fun night of drinking. They do serve breakfast after and I'm sure we will be wearing zag gear for the run. Talk to you soon.

I will keep my eye out for runners in Zag gear. We're driving from The Orleans to the Red Rock Casino to catch the bus. See you there.
