3:30 to go (on ESPN2) and Tennessee is crushing Memphis 93-61. Memphis will likely be unranked by the time the Zags get to them.

Reminded me of the WSU loss.

Memphis looked like they often do: lots of impressive athletes with length and speed... but out of control, one-on-one basketball. Tennessee was moving the ball pretty well once they settled down.
I hope it was a fluke for the Tigers, but it didn't feel like it.
Agreed that it was reminiscent of WSU beating.

Like I suggested in a previous post, a loss like this was coming for the Tigers. They had not been playing well of late. Too many close calls vs. low major teams.

Actually Memohis has been getting killed by anyone that has a number before thier name.

Kansas 81-68
Georgetown 86-69
Tennesee 104-84

I suspect conference play should allow them to maintain the three loss record until they get to Central Florida then it's up for grabs.

It is looking like a win by Gonzaga would have good optics, but not much substance in respect to improving RPI.

This is becoming a bit of a trend as their OOC wins over Marquette, Baylor, Xavier and Ok State, are nice wins by the name but when the database churns the numbers, I don't know that they are any bigger than a win over Portland or SMC would be.

Unfairly of course, a loss would have terrible effects.
