Well, it's the one area where the Bulldogs have most definitely improved.....

Gonzaga as a team:

2009/10 = 66.4%
2010/11 = 73.4%

Robert Sacre:

2009/10 = 62.9%
2010/11 = 80.0%

Elias Harris:

2009/10 = 67.6%
2010/11 = 72.7%

Kelly Olynyk:

2009/10 = 59.6%
2010/11 = 72.2%

I love Rob's trademark hook shot, yet I'd love it even more if he could draw contact and shoot more FT's!

It'd be nice to see him attempt 5+ free throws per game.

It'd be nice to see him attempt 5+ free throws per game.

He's averaging 5.5 attempts so far, 7 a game would be great.

Not sure what's going on GBJ, but he was a 75.3% foul shooter his junior season.

Pangos shot 82.8% from the foul line last season.

What's more remarkable is that they've increased their % against such a tough schedule.

A good bright spot CDC! I wonder if this improvement has prognotic value. Not worried about the HS kids. They get better when there's a strong diet of basketball.

I wonder who is responsible for this major uptick in shooting. Whoever is it, send him a bonus! This does debunk the myth that kids can't improve their FT shooting.

I like Robert at the line. Feeding the post takes on added value now.

Move quickly after receiving the pass to display an offensive move to the referees. Don't hesitate and give the appearance of being trapped. Hold the ball high to display the arm/hand checks.

Rob is doing a much, much better job of it lately. Big improvement over the course of the season.
