StretchLimo recently put me onto a great source for stats for Kyle's games, so I wanted to thank him for all he brings to this board, and then get up to speed on some hard numbers for how Kyle's done at Skyview four games into the season.

Here are links to some box scores:

Nov.27 Vallivue, L 78-83 (http://www.cybersportsusa.com/webgames/webgame.aspx?xmlfile=SkyVal112720101935.xml&uid=0&ssid=)

Nov.30 Borah, L 46-57 (http://www.cybersportsusa.com/webgames/webgame.aspx?xmlfile=BorSky113020101925.xml&uid=0&ssid=)

Dec.7 Eagle, W 64-50 (http://www.cybersportsusa.com/webgames/webgame.aspx?xmlfile=SkyEag120720101729.xml&uid=0&ssid=)

Dec.14 Mountain Home, W 68-61 (http://www.cybersportsusa.com/webgames/webgame.aspx?xmlfile=MouSky121420101849.xml&uid=0&ssid=)

Summarizing Kyle's stats from those games, here's what I come up with:

Next up for Skyview: Emmet at Skyview this Friday, Dec. 17, at 7:30 pm

Oh, and this thread needs a pic!

This is the one time I'm okay with a team beating my old Mountain Home Tigers. :)

Please note: This is not hype for a player, it's just a light remark about a town I once lived in, long ago.

How do you go from 54 one night to 10 the next? I do like this kids game.

With the arrival of KD, GBJ, & KP, we are obviously shifting back to the ol' tradition of the "Zags offense is better than yours & will out-score you".

Makes sense to me, b/c Few evidently has no intentions of changing his defensive strategy or scheme anytime soon.

Winning games is scoring more points than your opponent, so back to the days where our high-octane, efficient offense made up for our lackluster 3pt defense.

Instead of trading 2's for 3's(like this year), we'll soon be trading 3's for 3's once again. :)

When UW's Mike Johnson played at Ballard HS, I saw a game where the opponent played a triangle and two, with the "two" bracketing Johnson.

Steph Curry had a scoreless game at Davidson for a similar reason.

Most of the time, it's possible to set up a defense to stop one player, especially if his teammates aren't good enough to take advantage of the openings that result.

I do sense a return to guards more like Santangelo, Dickau, Stepp, Raivio... And that is fine by me, any day.

It surprises me not at all that the Kid from Nampa would be too much for Mountain Home to handle. :)

Think about it , at the end of the day , no matter how far we advanced , if we could have defended better , we would have advanced . Playing a minimum of deffense and simply outscoring everyone else won't get it done . Why do you think that in the dance the scores are down a significant amount over regular season games ? Offense is beautiful to watch , but DEFENSE wins CHAMPIONSHIPS !

It's both astonishing and discouraging to see how quickly a positive thread about a future Zag's high school senior season can deteriorate into something like this.

There are plenty of other negative threads this could have been posted in. Please leave this one alone.

As a side note, Zag Native, please keep up your great posts... you provide a breath of fresh air in an increasingly toxic atmosphere this board is becoming.
