I don't expect the atmosphere at the arena in Dallas to be as intimidating as the Sprint Center was for the KSU game. Nor will it come close to being as intimidating as the crowds at WSU and Notre Dame.

I'm still trying to understand why certain people wouldn't consider Oklahoma State and Xavier to be quality win type opponents at this stage in the season. Both teams look like NCAA tournament teams to me. Would they be quality wins at the level of Baylor? No, but they would still be quality wins. Any win over a likely NCAA tournament team is a quality win in my book.

Zags are Baylor's marquee game.......not to be pejorative, but their non-conf schedule is a joke.....

I actually like Baylor and their style of play....their kids really play hard....maybe some of that will rub off on da Zags....

Prediction (don't kill me for this): Baylor 85 Zags 70

I have two questions on this game:
does it count ?
why we scheduled this game so close to saturday? (why not play this wednesday)

as a jesuit school, academics do matter.....it is final week, thus the extra days means a ton to the kids who are studying and taking finals M, T and W

I was as surprised as anyone...apparently Lee's wife did not like the Evil Empire.
the phillies rotation is out of this world...anyone of those 4 guys (Halliday, Lee, Hamels, oswalt) are number one on most teams.

philly town is going nuts!!!

if Oakland Raiders can beat #7 Tennessee on their home floor...surely we can win in Dalllas. Oakland played as tough a schedule as the Zags. I respect these guys from Oakland for playing this kind of schedule. They will take some bruises, but they can win some games too.

and yes Zagsker many other instutions of "higher learning" do not take academics as seriously as Gonzaga does and for that I am very proud to be a Zag alum

Good point ZMIP, yet Oakland held Tennessee to 4-18 from the 3pt line.

FWIW, Zags would probably be 7-2(or better) right now if they allowed opponents to make only 4 three's in a single game. We haven't accomplished it yet!

4 of the 9 teams we've played this season have made double-digits 3's vs GU.

Not surprisingly, all 4 have been losses.

Props to Oakland's upset bid and their scheduling thus far, yet Zags ain't beatin' anybody until they start defending the perimeter. It'll be like clockwork... :horse:

At some point the light bulb will come on for the Zags.

They looked much better on offense against Notre Dame.

If Baylor thinks they can just show up and get a win, they are mistaken. If the bring their "A" game, it could be a long night for the Zags.

I'd love to see a Zag win in Dallas. After finals, a home game squeezed in, a long flight, a battering schedule behind them, injured players, a win against Baylor would be a big deal.
Every game for the remainder of the season is an opportunity for this group, let alone Oklahoma State and Xavier. If this team starts to turn it around, the kudos will appear in the media. It would be too much of a story to ignore.

I think a lot of people are beginning to smell an upset coming against Baylor. I know I've been smelling something real sweet all week. I didn't know what it was until now. Oh sweet victory, how sweet thou art.

has anybody else noticed that Wake Forest is having an off year? not sure beating WF (and joining the ranks of steston, virginia commonwealth, winthrop unc-wilmington) will do anything to help improve GU's resume, though it might give us an unexpected break in the tough OCC, that is if we win.

This was the reason the phillies signed Lee, they knew pitching is everything in the playoffs. Kudos to the Giants for winning the W.S...if they can do it again in the next three years, i would be very surprised, as i think the Phillies will win the next three :p

BTW, catch the Mark Few show after the Ndame game here, if you haven't seen it.

let our beloved jazzdelmar plays right field for the Phillies, they still would win :p
i think phillies is going to try and make a deal (trade Blanton) for a so so right fielder, if they can find one, or they just let Dominic Brown grow into that full time, he is almost ready for the big time.

I want to believe the Zags can pull this one off. I'm sure the ND game boosted morale quite a bit. If they can take care of business against LC State and go into the Baylor game with some Momentum and confidence they may just come away with a W. It certainly would help if Baylor underestimated the a bit also.

Do they think the Zags were too physical, considering all the fouls?

They're no doubt worrying about whether they can stay in the Top Ten.

That Acy character.....give that guy a pump fake and he will get 5 fouls in 1 minute

Dunn was able to get in the ref's face a few times without a T being called..what was up with that?

I saw that. It's one thing to ask an official about a call, but to get in the officials face like that should be unacceptable. He kinda came across as a bit disrespectful at times, IMO.

Yeah, there was one time especially where the coach had to pull Dunn back because Dunn was in the ref's face and looked like he was going to take a swing.

I agree. There coaches marched right past Mark Few and our coaches, barely touching our coaches hands and not even looking at us......Drew=not classy at all. I lost a lot of respect for Baylor tonight. I've always liked them.
