Less than a hour away from Irvine, CA. This is the type of school I thought he would end up at.

Best of luck to David in his future endeavors........

Good luck to David. Let's hope he can not be plagued by injuries in the near future.

Hopefully he plays a lot and enjoys the rest of his college bball experience. And doesn't have any more injuries!

I can still hear Curt Gowdy saying Cosic's name when he did college hoops play-by-play in the 70's.

Interesting list. You could put together 18 complete rosters of 13 scholarship players each from all those departing players.

Players seem to leave in pairs (about 40 of 'em), with a fair number of triples too like Wake Forest, Vermont. Then there's Mississippi, Mississippi State, Colorado State, Oregon State, UTEP and others, where 4 players per team are departing.

I noticed that it lists Maurice Joseph deciding between Vermont and R.I. I wonder if PMAC might go to one of those two. Both Vermont and R.I. had 3 player departures.

A quick peak at Asuza's roster shows that the biggest guy they had this year was 6'8 225. I'm sure they'll love Burgess down there...

Azusa has a great baseball program (NAIA world series this year), but I don't know anything about their basketball.

I can't help but notice the opportunity to check out many different religious angles with his school choices...

BYU - Mormon
Gonzaga - Jesuit
Azusa Pacific - Evangelical Christian

Not really relevant to the basketball discussion, but it just seemed interesting to me.

One of the major reasons his parents wanted him to go to BYU was in hopes that it would get him back on track as a Mormon. They truely pushed this school. He did not connect with his team mates, many of whom had families of their own, and transfered to Gonzaga...likely where he wanted to go out of HS if not for the pressure from his family. Azusa is likely because it is close to home

Hint: Also played at BYU, but in reverse order of appearance.
