These pics can also be seen on my blog, but for those of you who haven't/aren't going to go to it, I'll just post them here. (LINK TO THE BLOG---> http://gozagswoohoo2.blogspot.com/ )
Oh, and since you clicked on my thread, you have to listen to a few of my thoughts. (That's my rule, I just made it up.) You don't have to agree with me, but you have to listen for a second.
Thoughts/Observations: (Please read and comment, even if you disagree)
First- One of my biggest pet peeves is poor clock management toward the end of games. I notice it very quickly, and it always makes me mad (but guess what, I had ZERO ISSUES WITH THE MARQUETTE GAME!!!!). I've seen a few people complaining about how Meech handled the clock late in the Marquette game, and I will tell you first hand, he did GREAT. Yes, he sprinted up the floor a few times, but then he pulled back! And I'm sorry to say this, I'm not usually this blunt, but for those of you who complain about Meech not having any points in the Marquette game, and think that translates to a poor performance.....that's probably the third DUMBEST thing I have heard in my life. Our PG had ZERO turnovers and TEN rebounds. I will take that ANY day. We have SO many offensive weapons! If our PG can get the ball down the floor with no turnovers AND pull down 10 boards....WOW. That's GREAT! Honestly, ask yourself this question, at the beginning of the season, how many points did you EXPECT Meech to average per game? Honestly. We KNOW he isn't and will never be a huge offensive threat. So what does that mean? If he isn't going to score, he needs to do everything else well. No turnovers and 10 boards sounds GREAT. Stop compaining!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, I pray Meech or the other players don't read some of the bull crap on this forum that so many people spew after a loss.....or.....a win <---------LOL. And by NO MEANS am I saying that you should stop posting this opinions. This is an internet forum, if it's not offensive, or includes bad language, rumors, etc, post it all you want. But that also gives me the right to make fun of it in my own thread. :-)
Second- Elias and Manny are the key to Gonzaga being a Top 25 team. They were, IMO, the x-factors last season. They were 2 spots that stepped up HUGE last year, and NOBODY expected it. That's why the zags were ranked so high pre-season! So, if we don't get the 'norm' from them (which we hadn't had until Marquette), we WON'T be a Top 25 team. Maybe not even Top 50. I'm really glad to see them finally show up, that was a great sign.
Third- Zags fans are the greatest. We are SO lucky to have this team, school, support, fanbase. I hope everyone can slow down and realize that. The generosity I've seen amongst fans is amazing. I always meet such incredible people on my zags trips/road trips. It amazes me more and more every trip. Just the general attitude of the zags fans, and the attitude towards eachother is different than the other schools. Everyone is like a huge family, or close friend. My buddy and I did a lot of people watching in our lobby, just watching players, coaches, fans, etc. It was EVIDENT the entire time. I love it. It's amazing. I hope everyone realize's this.
PS- I will probably add a fourth and/or fifth point soon! haha.
