I've heard him talk a couple of times and he's open, candid and does a pretty good job of thinking on his feet.

HIs children go to school with my grandchildren and the Santangelo family is much respected.

That said, Richard FOx will be missed by this fan. I really valued his insights and contributions as a listener and thought he was a top notch sports reporter who called em as he saw them and built up a large and respected following in a relatively short time. Best of luck to both Richard and Matt.

Matt Santangelo, a member of the 1999 NCAA Elite Eight and the 2000 NCAA Sweet Sixteen teams will replace Richard Fox who spent three seasons on the broadcasts. Fox is stepping aside to focus on his career with Shell Energy of North America. Santangelo was a three-time All-West Coast Conference first-team selection, as well as being the WCC Co-Freshman of the Year and a WCC honorable mention pick.

"We're sorry to see Richard leave and wish him the best, but at the same time we're excited to have Matt join the team," said Kris Kassel, general manager of IMG College, Gonzaga University's multi-media rights holder.

Santangelo is also looking forward to his new role with Bulldog basketball.

"It will be great to be involved with the team in this new role," Santangelo said. "I'm grateful for this opportunity. Richard did a great job so I know I am being counted on to fill a big void left by his departure. "

Santangelo is an Associate in Business Development for Summit Capital Group LLC in Spokane.
The Mark Few Radio Show begins its second year Nov. 1 and will air weekly at noon on 1510 KGA and 1410 KTEL. The show will be hosted by Hudson.

I know of one very special diehard Zag who resides in Walla Walla now. JT.

I wonder if Matt or Tom or both will mention that the Pangos family will be at the exhibition game. Hmmmm.

Very cool! Matt should be pretty good. I am disappointed a bit tho, I really liked Richard. I thought he was very good, insightful and just fun to listen to. All change takes time.

I wish Fox luck at Shell.
