Gonzaga, Butler, Memphis, with mentions of St. Mary's, LMU and a few WCC players to watch.

Interesting in the unloved coaches section, three of the five all have U of M lineage.

Suprised that the WCC wasn't listed in the conferences to watch. LMU and Portland get a mention, but St. Mary's doesn't anywhere. Methinks that will change by the end of the year, Moraga's team is might be a bit under the radar nationally now, but I am still very wary of the team and its coach's abilities......

Look closer, Ozzy. St. Mary's is mentioned.

Yes, I've seen Machete. I second that, jake.

UNLV's great teams preceded the BCS era, but aren't they the only non-major team to win a title? Zagco would put 7 or 8 of their best squads on this list. As well, Memphis was pretty dang good a couple years ago.

I thought this was the best from the article.

Gonzaga's schedule may be the toughest in the country. We already went over its November slate. After playing one of the Big Ten favorites in a rematch of last season's thrilling win at Chicago's United Center, the Zags play at Washington State, at Notre Dame, face Baylor in Dallas, host Xavier and Oklahoma State and play at Wake Forest all before the WCC opens against Portland on Jan. 8. The Zags will have one of the best power ratings in the country. Forget the record. What matters is how well the Zags can hold up and perform during this stretch.

We'll be as good as this past year . Elias and Steven are key. They MUST produce..as must Manny. If defense is strong and rebounding is better...we'll get past the first round...Swt 16 if the draws are favorable. We have that much talent.

If we get through the OOC season in good health, I like our chances to do some damage in the WCC.

They were covered in the MWC preview. Also, UTEP won the title, Glory Road was a good movie about their run.
