Tournies in Vegas and Orlando begin today as coaches hit the road and enter the final recruiting/evaluation period of summer.

From Vegas and Orlando, a few of the AAU teams of interest will then go to the Desert Duel July 27th and 28th, and then most of them will be in Los Angeles, for the Pump’s Best of Summer, July 27th thru the 30th.

Double Pump Best of Summer Tournament (http://www.doublepump.com/bestofsummerinfo.html) (July 27-30) - no team list yet, but I believe Kyle Wiltjer's Soldiers will be playing in this tournament.

No idea about any east coast tourneys.

Interesting blog entry from Goodman at Fox Sports. See the most underrated category:

http://community.foxsports.com/goodmanonfox/blog/

Over the past week, Matt Norlander and I have polled nearly 30 of the top recruits across the country. We wanted to get an idea of who the players thought had the best to offer in a number of categories; scouts can often see one thing, players another. So below we’ve got 10 factions we asked the guys to opine on, and in most instances we listed the top three vote-getters. The exception: the most underrated. We figured if someone got a mention from a fellow 2011 recruit, they deserved the space on the blog.

FWIW, Norman Powell is apparently playing for San Diego All-Stars at the Fab 48 Invitational, not Dream Vision.

Ask the kids? Odd way to take a poll. Some major figures (players) are missing from the players' poll.
A bit OT but look at the piece above CDC's referenced one. OJ Mayo...makes me just shake my head. How athletes can ruin a program and just skip off to multimillion dollar years with apparent impunity...and live with themselves is beyond me.

I really like Gary Bell. He's such an underrated kid probably because, even though he has skills galore....he's understated and doesn't do "flash". He's a perfect fit for the program. No trash talking (Wroten)...just gets the job done quietly. This is the type of kid I like. Amazing kid. How the staff acquired him is beyond me but it does say very good things about GU basketball.
