Good find ZN! Our guy could move up or down depending on his health. He is a ferocious kid. He'll be fine. And will the Zags.

Zag fans are going to have to stop hating on Dickie V. He loves the Dukies (they did win a national championship), but he has been giving the Zags lots of love over the past 2 or 3 years. Say what you want about the guy, but he brings so much passion and energy to the game, its hard for me to hate him.

Interesting picks by Vitale. Jimmer Ferdette first team. That guy is very hard to stop.

Elias Harris second team. He is a good one. We have a tough front line (Aztecs). I can't wait to see how Harris does against it. (And I am sure he will do very well)

I was hoping to see his honarable mention list or next 10. I think we would have found the Aztecs Kawhi Leonard on it.

Thanks ZNative.....We are really excited about Kawhi Leonard. He is a 6-7 soph. A rebounding demon, whos offensive game is coming around.

He was the California Player Of The Year his senior year (in one publication).

I love how Dookie V makes a comment about everyone on his first and second teams EXCEPT Elias!

This is exciting. To be on the 2nd team preseason All American list sets him up nicely to be first team by the end of the season. For me this will add some additional excitement to the season.

maybe 2nd team AA is a bit of a reach, preseason. surely, if he comes out like he did at the start of last yr, its a good pick......

In my opinion, it all boils down to how he will be used. I think we got a sampling from the Syracuse game last year. Clearly, Few designed the offensive game plan for Syracuse through Harris. I think we will see much more of the same in the future.

Last season, the offensive game plan initially centered around posting up Matt and feeding the ball inside to Sacre. Much of Harris' early offense came from offensive "putbacks". As the season wore on, more and more offense was dictated through feeding Harris.

It is all about match ups. Harris can win most of em', but in cases where the opposing team designs a game plan to stop him, I can see a secondary plan of going through Sacre instead. I expect the WCC will be very wary of Harris and attempt to force the Zags to score in other ways.

In short, I expect Harris, Sacre, and Gray (in that order) to be the top scorers for the Zags next season. If Harris can average a double/double in points and rebounds (very possible I think), some type of AA status (likely not 1st team unless he puts up huge numbers) is within reach. Especially if the Zags can remain in the national spotlight by beating a couple of top teams and/or staying ranked within the top 15 or so.

Wait and see.

Steven Gray?

I think ELias will flourish if we find some good players to "give and go" with him. Steven Gray is so key. His his size talent, experience and athleticism...if Steven can keep his head in basketball, there's no end to what he might do. Steven's defense is very good. His shooting both LD and FT, needs to return to what it was in his Freshman year.

Eli will do well if Meech or whoever ends up playing the PG is dangerous enough to keep the defenders attention. Meech's shooting was so bad last year, his defender could slack off to give a 2 on 1 (or worse) when Eli had the ball. Few and staff obviously noticed this and went looking for other players. I hope Meech shot 700 balls/day this Summer. He gets better, Eli gets better.
