Offer or not... his father was my advisor and a good friend. RIP Tim... I pray for you every Sunday. It would be great to have someone with the Sarbaugh name on the GU campus again.

I was thinking, too, that Chris is most likely eligible to attend GU tuition-free due to his father's tenure at GU, whether he turns out for basketball or not.

GU has a very good program that includes all employees who remain with the school for a certain number of years. It's a remarkable benefit.

I was wondering if he was Dr. Sarbaugh's son.

I heard he dominated at Gonzaga team camp, and was possibly offered. I believe, however, that he may in fact already receive free tuition as noted by Gamagin.

Dr. Sarbaugh was my advisor when I was at GU. I had no idea his kid was a ballplayer at G Prep.

It would be pretty cool if he could play for Gonzaga in some capacity.

Here's some fun (for Bullpups' fans) video of highlights of GPrep's win over LC (http://www.gonzaga74.com/Basketball%202009/Boys%20Home%20Page/Videos/LC%20Boys%20Highlights%201-19-10.wmv) in January, with Chris making some nice plays.

Okay, this is very Ferris Bueller ("my sister's brother's cousin totally saw Ferris pass out at 31 flavors last night"), but I heard that he WAS offered by GU.

Meehan might have something fairly soon. My best guess is he was invited to walk on, which is pretty cool in and of itself. But we'll know soon enough.

recongesting in the backcourt. I thought Daniels was a big specialist--like to see some early results from him.

Dr. Sarbaugh is on my very short list of people who truely influenced me. I cried in the hallway of the Ad buildiing when I heard he had died. I know this thread is about his son. And it would be awesome if he played hoops for GU. But, I just had to put my two cents in about a wonderful man. I hope his son knows just how much his dad was loved by his students.

If he can already attend for free, that means he could be a recruited walk-on without taking up a scholly, right? Talk about a win-win.

I think of Saved By the Bell before I think of MB

Sounds like Few doesn't want to whiff on another G-Prep kid like Nicholas last year.

Sarbaugh is a really good ball player. Too unselfish if one can ever be accused of that.

I don't think Nicholas had free tuition (no scholie needed), but I could be wrong.

get any tuition. If you all remember, andrew sorenson was awarded a scholarship (I believe it was for) the second half of his senior year.

I'm guessing but I believe it was because he had turned into such a team/crowd favorite and contributed in so many ways off the game floor, in practices and in public that the coaches and school were moved to show their gratitude for his inspirational contributions.

That, and they weren't at the scholarship-cap of 13 for the second semester.

Totally separate sort of gig from the "employee discount" that Chris would get.

He didn't get a letter or a phone call either.
