Matt has a workout coming up Monday for the Washington Wizards. There are likely to be more reports of workouts, so might as well keep them in a generically titled thread. This report comes from WashingtonWizardsBlog (http://www.washingtonwizardsblog.com/2010/05/28/wizards-pre-draft-workout-schedule-monday-may-31st/):

That's a solid list of candidates to be up there with. I hope he plays like he is capable of, not how he did down the stretch this past year (because he is better than he played).

Wow, I didn't know he won that award. I know a lot of us on here like him, but I don't get that. I don't really see him as a point guard, more like a Tayshaun Prince/Manu Ginobili type of guy. I am not at all saying he isn't a very good player, just didn't ever label him as a PG.

Not much on the local press about Matt, it is all about Greivis. Vasquez will not go to the Wizards. They really won't need him with John Wall and he likely won't be around for their second pick.

The same blog posted a video with highlights from the workout. The video focuses mainly on Greivis but also has Matt in it quite a bit since he was guy guarding him in most of the drills.

I thought there was decent coverage on Matt. When you click on his interview link, you see him knocking down four college three's with ease.
His shot looks as pure and effortless as ever.

NBA media guru David Aldridge is standing next to him with a voice recorder during the interview.

I think he finds a team in the middle of the second round.

The real question for me is his health. He was so banged up late in the year.

Greivis Vasquez is really his only competition IMO, if it's by position. Otherwise I think he still can compete against those other forwards and his attitude and his fundamentals will carry him to get signed.

agreed Vasquez is really the only direct competition, but the team would bring in guys from other positions unless they were still looking at other options too...
