    Wiltjer

I have only seen his skills on the computer.

So, if someone can help me here, please let me know how he compares to

    -Poling
    -K.O.
    -Sean Mallon
    -Hell---how about Kyle Singler

And please, I hope this doesn't open up a "bash former Zags" discussion, I just want a feel for how his game compares, if at all, to the guys above.

    thanks

Kind of a cross between Daye and Morrison. Wiltjer is a scorer. Flat out.

I would agree... I've seen him play many times.

I think it cannot be emphasized enough, though, that this kid is not just a perimeter player. He can do things in the post right now that Sean Mallon, Josh Heytvelt and other former bigs were never able to do during their entire career at Gonzaga. For one thing, Wiltjer can go with either hand in the post with superb footwork. I think his ability to play down low gets overlooked too much. I'm not saying he's a beast down there like Batista, but this is not a kid who will have little to offer in the paint.

So he is basically really, really skinny, and he has really floppy hair and a thin blotchy mustache.

He reminds me a little of Mallon when he was in HS. I say this as a compliment. Remember, Mallon was a HUGE get for Gonzaga back in the day.

He does kind of run like Morrison.

You know what the wifey calls Ammo's stache?
The Corn Stache.......take out the C and add the letter "P"

Not sure if that benefits me in any shape or form though...probably not.

Much better than KO, Mallon...physical mobility is less than Singler.
He has terrific big man moves but can shoot 3 effectively.
NOT a super leaper but he's got "span". For his age, I think he's among the best kids in the low blocks we've seen. This is one kid we need. Tough defense and rebounding too.
Good kid...cmere Kyle...we have a spot for you!!

Where are we on his recruiting process? Who else is he considering? More importantly is there any insight into how much he is interested in us?

Gonzaga, Cal, Kansas are top-3, I hear. Mutual interest is high.

BZ, what makes us stand out above Cal and KU? What kinda edge do we have: being close to home, strong academics and his Major(?), our style of play, the family atmosphere at GU?

What would make him want to consider CAL and KU? CAL is truly an academic school with a great location, good coach (Montgomery) and football. Don't know about KU's academics but they have a pretty decent tradition in basketball. Not too fond of their location...lots of snow and they also have football...but they do have some snow every now and again...

So, what is it we have above those two schools that interests Kyle?

I am just trying to see what gets him to us...
