It's been a roller coaster ride the past month with the suprise signing of Hyland and the addition of an upperclassmen in Carter for 10/11, and the big news of Bell for 10/11.

Whether you cared for Gibbs, Vilarino, or Poling as players I find myself routing for the underdog and was emotionally invested in them, particularly Gibbs, as Zags and our future.. I have no doubt they could have contributed mightily at some point, but it obviously wasn't soon enough for either them or the coaches. Best of luck tbut now it's time to move on.

I think we'll have more fully defined rolls and expectations with this group.

Meech/Carter

Gray/Arop/Kong/Hyland

Harris/Arop/Kong

Olynick/Harris/Dower/Kong

Sacre/Dower/Olynck

I see Kong and Hyland really vying for mouse's share of minutes AND I really hope Arop's foot heals well. Love the fact that we have a 3pt specialist in Hyland...when will his impact be felt is the real question.

In short, although I'll miss the trasferors I'm even more pumped for Carter, Hyland, the mystery Euro (pls Fournier!!!) to join the 2010/2011 addition to the Zags.

Lead us to the promise land, Mr. Gray.

Go Zags!!!!

I would have preferred addition by addition :) It is always sad to see Zags leave. I totally agree with your underdog sentiment. They also would have provided some depth at there relative positions, and it would have been great to see them grow. I do like the group we have moving forward, though. The sky is the limit.

Additions AND subtractions equals a better balanced bottom line. I've heard murmurs that Hyland is the more exciting get than Carter, but all is speculation until proven in the games. The team subtracted two good kids, but didn't subtract assets on the court. This may surprise some, but I'd be disappointed if Olynyk ever transferred.

I'm sure that as long as Kelly & Sam get a decent share of minutes & respect by the coaching staff, they will not transfer. The coaches haven't looked at any new bigs, so I'm sure both of them are happy. I bet we'll see huge improvements from Kelly this upcoming season.
