Summer AAU basketball in Spokane- Lots of it (both my daughter and husband will be reffing summer tournaments and GU camps and I go "cheer" them on)

Mariners - looking forward to some hitting to go along with the great pitching and defense! We listen on the radio while out boating, so in case they lose, we don't feel like we wasted the whole day watching... :)

NBA finals on TV---I scheduled our stops (on the way to/from and in Alaska) at RV parks with cable TV when possible so I could catch the games on TV. Not always possible--I'll probably have withdrawal symptoms when we're on Kodiak Island for a week and don't have TV. ;)

No other sports except wildlife watching, and my husband fishing.

Sounds heavenly!

Mariners... at least I'll have it on while I'm doing other things - I can rarely sit and watch a whole game unless I'm watching it live.

Just following any Zag news here and then the Seahawks later in the summer.

World cup. My kids are huge into soccer so I have learned to like it. The world cup is pretty great to watch.

The M's. They kill me slowly but I watch anyway.

Son and daughter have a bunch of local and out of town summer soccer tournaments. Daughter has summer HS basketball too.

I will probably get up at all hours of the night to watch World Cup Soccer.

I am a Sounders season ticket holder.

If you are in Seattle when there is a home game going on I recommend you attempt to get some tickets and get involved with the whole experience beginning with pregame festivities etc just as this person did.
http://www.madduxsports.com/blog/mls-what-a-surprise/
There will be scalpers out selling tickets, and you can most likely find some online via the various websites. Just be aware most of the stadium stands through out the game and the GA sections are probably not for first timers, unless you are 100% ready and willing to participate in everything that goes on in those sections, see the videos.

I find the Sounders seasons and GU Basketball Seasons sync up quite nicely. The MLS season is starting just as the College basketball season is winding down (right when the NCAA tourney starts) and as the MLS season is ending the college basketball season is starting.

Also this summer, World Cup 2010. US plays England in their opening game.

Oh, the Sounders will be playing Boca Juniors and Celtic in friendlies this summer as well.

Oh, and Yard work:-/

One for me that hasn't already been mention is:

Cowlitz Black Bears (http://www.cowlitzblackbears.com) - Kelso / Longview, Washington:
Collegiate summer wood-bat baseball league where college players and prospects prepare for the pros. The league comprises teams from British Columbia, Oregon and Washington. It is an 2010 expansion team to the West Coast Baseball league (http://www.westcoastleague.com). Should be a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, no GU players will be on the team. Several other WCC schools will be represented.

But prefunk out in pioneer square or around the stadium then you won't feel the need to drink as much in the stadium.

four of our grandchildren are involved in soccer & baseball. The boys are playing on two baseball teams each. Then summer leagues.

It's fun. And there isn't a kid in the world who doesn't want a loved one to watch him/her play a sport. Or be in a play, or just about anything.

It's good to get wrapped up in these games. The nucleus of every game has all the elements of a good Zags game. It's just that the elements are pretty unvarnished.

But it can be just as exciting for the participants, and the spectators, at times.

Baseball-the Twins. I'll watch the NBA and NHL playoff games but my interest will rapidly dwindle if the Lakers and Penguins are playing for their respective titles.

And then in August all other sports go away because it's time for the NFL. :)

Uber will be there in August.

Aside from that, it's Ms baseball, possibly a Padre game in June in San Diego, and lots of Rainiers games as Uber's season tix come with free beer so those can't go to waste....
