Landen Lucas, PF, NW Panthers: We closed a long day with our first look at Lucas and he didnít disappoint. Heís got a body and game like Wayne Simien. Lucas, whose dad played at Oregon, is a natural rebounder who seemingly is a magnet for boards. Heís an average athlete but exceptional board man and a true post player. Lock high-major prospect and the best talent we saw on the first night.

Jordan Tebbutt, SF, Double Pump Elite: This sophomore is strong, exceptionally strong and heís not afraid to use it. At this point, he overpowers guys and seems to have good ball skills. We didnít see him attempt a jumper but that was more a product of the circumstances. He finished at the rim and heís good quickness. The big boys are on him already.

Point guard Jordan Daniels has a UTEP offer and interest from UCLA, Gonzaga, Portland and San Diego. Ö Tebbutt collected early offers from UCLA, USC, Washington, Washington State, Oregon State and Virginia. Ö Landen Lucas said the entire Pac-10 with Arizona coming hard is on him. Georgetown, Texas, Florida, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame and Kansas are on him. He may attend camp at Kansas. Ö

I know it's childish, but I couldn't help but giggle at that.

But, thank you for the great update! You always keep us informed and do a great job of modding these boards.

Thanks, Skan.

I don't see anything Zag-related in reports today about yesterday's action.

Kevin Johnson, C, California Supreme: After missing most of the season, Johnsonís understandably rusty. However, he came into the spring in reasonably good shape and when challenged on Sunday, he responded. Johnson had an answer to Landen Lucas and then did damage to Pump inside in the title game.

Jordan Tebbutt, SF/SG, Pump: As the playoffs continued, Tebbutt cranked his play up a notch. Heís so physical and savvy. Heís one of the few wings who legitimately posts up and has an offensive game from that area. Even in the title game when the end wasnít in doubt, Tebbutt kept playing hard. There will be a West Coast war for him in 2012 and weíd expect the national guys to follow suit.

Really like that Jordan Tebbutt not only doesnít mind contact, but he seeks it and embraces it. Powerful 2012 wing player.

GU's 2012 needs look to be bigs... as they seem to be loading up on wings and PGs.

That would leave Dower as the only true big on the squad. If we wait that long, he better be ready to play at a high level from day one.
