Gonzaga 82
St Mary's 72

This is a great finals. Just the kind we need to prepare us for the tournament. St. Mary's proves to be a great foe for the Zags, and I hope they get into the NCAA tournament. It's a close game throughout, and well played. Matt Bouldin wakes up, comes out of his slump (or is he having a relapse with his concussion). Once again, Elias Harris goes off on St. Mary's. They just can't defend him.

But it is our Junior warror, Steven Gray, who leads the team once again and gets the MVP award for the tournament. The bench once again plays great, and Doug Gotlieb sticks to his guns and says that every one on Gonzaga's team sucks accept for Matt, Steven and Elias. Zag coaches used this Gotlieb quote to fire up the team before the St Mary's game, and will use it until Gotlieb is removed from post game and half time analysis, and becomes the designated grunt to run errands for the real crew.

I hope GU wins....
I hope SMC gets an at large invite to the Big Tourney.
I hope Matty B plays a great game.
I hope Will Foster blocks a Sanham shot.
I hope Will Foster shoots a FT and makes it or at least hits the iron or the backboard. No more airballs please. I felt bad for the guy.
I hope nobody gets hurt.

I hope all of the Zag fans in LV are living large.

Go Zags! :)

Please oh please let all of our players have a STELLAR and SAFE game. We need to keep everyone healthy for the Big Tournament. Gonzaga being Gonzaga will play there heart out and yet again Sanham will go home dissapointed. ;)

Manny's out and Steven's bangs and bruises from the LMU game catch up to him, Matt's season-long punishment continues to slow him.

This will be a tough game, no doubt. Samhan will get his 25/10, but ultimately we have too much physicality at the 1/2; Delly and McConnell will be frustrated, and GU will win a close one.

On the other hand, if the refs call some quick fouls on our guards and limit their defensive effectiveness and/or playing time, I could see SMC pulling it out.

I'm thinking we get on him and dog him and cut his performance in half, and we win.

It's time for RS & EH and KO and (maybe Manny) big Will to CUT. HIM. OFF. stay between the basket and Omar. at all times.

I know we can do this just once. Just for the hell of it if nothing else.

This is going to be a very tough game to win. Zags not playing their best right now. Beating SMC 3 times this season would be a huge accomplishment. Ridiculous to have to win a 3rd time to get the auto bid. And while I want to say the Zags win it, this may as close to a draw as any game could have been this year. Hate to say it, but all bets are off.

I still think it's going to be a blow out. All the pressure is on SMC. Zags by 15-20 in a rout.

Manny's injury works like a battle cry. Samhan also rolled his ankle last night and will not be 100%. Contain Dellevedova and Mickey mouse and were golden. Zags win big!!!

GU - 83
SMC - 58

Hmmmm, same score as last year.

I keep saying it about this kid. He is going to bug GU for years to come:

Freshman Jorden Page also scored a career-high 14 points and shut down Jared Stohl, the Pilots' 3-point specialist who was held to four points on made free throws.

At last night's foul per minute rate & injury per half rate, Lloyd and Giacoletti might be your backcourt come first OT or second OT.
