Interesting tidbit reported on Slipper Still Fits regarding Gary's recruiting:

Gary Bell, 6-0 PG/SG Kent (Wash.) Kentridge. A teammate of UCLA-committed Josh Smith on the Seattle Rotary club team, Bell is a very good shooter with a solid feel for the game. He's played off the ball in the summer, but we think he might play the one at the next level. UCLA has offered and has been going after him hard since the fall. We’re hearing that Gonzaga and California are the current leaders, and you’d have to think that Washington will be in it, but it could be that Bell thinks Washington is loaded with guards, and will probably also get Wroten (see below)

This comes from the UCLA scout page. The reason I post this is because Tracy Pierson, who wrote this article, usually has a great feel and is spot-on when it comes to West Coast recruits.

Nice to hear!

I suspect coach Few is going to go hard after this guy.

Bell, Dranginis, and Wiltjer would be a remarkable class.

The best since Harris, Dower, Kong, Arop, Olynyk, and Villarino.

Stop to ponder that for a moment.

If recent eye witness accounts are accurate, we're gonna have to battle it out with Izzo for him. Brandon Bos wouldn't be a bad consolation prize though...................... for Sparty. ;)

Brandon was taken down by Pangos in the regional semis, but he does have makings of Zag hair!

I absolutely love G-bell, not as much as Nick Johnson, but damn the kid can play! Haven't seen pangos yet, but my guess is the steve nash 2.0 stuff is not all hype. If Izzo has just visited pangos, my guess is Few has visited him recently as well.

Dranginis, Bell and Pangos comprise GU's wish list for guards. I'd be delighted.

One down, two to go.

Isn't Wiltjer more of a perimeter type big? ala Josh. It would be nice to get a big that actually plays in the paint. Just sayin'.

He has a nice inside game, good post moves, but yes, he has an inside-outside game. Very versatile.
