Playing high-school hoops in nobody's shadow, Star Times boys selections are, from left to right, Gary Bell, Aaron Bright, Josh Smith, Cole Dickerson and Brett Kingma.

Gary Bell

Kentridge guard, 6-1, Jr.

Considered among the top junior guards in the country, Bell averaged 22.6 points with an SPSL-record 55 in one game while shooting 40 percent from three-point range. The two-time Star Times choice led Kentridge to third place at last year's state tournament. Has several D-1 offers.
Brett Kingma

Jackson guard, 6-2, Jr.

Kingma missed most of his sophomore season with a broken left arm. He has more than made up for lost time this season, establishing himself as one of the state's top scorers. The slick-shooting guard has dropped in more than 30 points nine times, averaging more than 25 points for the sixth-ranked Timberwolves.Congrats to Gary and Brett!

I've heard that Kingma wants to be a Zag. You think that if we don't get Gary, the staff would try to get Kingma?

We'll see what BZ says in the morning. I've always loved Kingma.

I like Kingma's game from what I have seen on the videos. Not afraid to shoot - which is good, we need a fearless gunner, aka D-Rav.

Is Bell looking to be a Zag? Anyone with inside info?

Something about that first pic though... something familiar.

'... I will name him, Mini-Matt.'

So we'll have this to look forward to at USF in the fall?

Cole Dickerson

Federal Way forward, 6-6, Sr.

The clear MVP choice in the SPSL 4A North, Dickerson averages 24 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for the top-ranked Eagles, who are favored to win a second straight state title. He shoots better than 60 percent from the field and has signed with San Francisco. Older brother Michael played in the NBA

USF will have to be looking out for an even improved one of these:

Cole is legit...does anyone know why he chose USF? He led his team all year and they were, maybe still are, ranked nationally in the Top 25. USF got a great player!
