Adams is having a rough game. Not looking to shoot and not being strong with the ball, though he seems to have some passing skills his teammates can't cash in on. Franklin's making their run without him.

Headed to overtime after Adams ties it with a circus shot in traffic. He's long as hell but seems out of it today. Maybe he's sick or cramping.

Anrio ran with the Zags last summer at a team camp. I suspect he'll do that again the next couple of summers. He's quite young yet.

Jefferson's Terrence Jones is a stud. Federal Way-Jefferson was a treat.

One of our recruits for next year, Cole Dickerson, plays for Federal Way. Any thoughts on him? Hard to get info down here in the Bay Area. Thanks for any info.

Cole looked good. He showed nice touch and battled against a physically imposing player in Jefferson's Terrence Jones. Dickerson didn't appear all that explosive and didn't play above the rim the way Jones does, but both are bigs with good hands and smarts.

Here are some pics (http://picasaweb.google.com/jbelzman/MLKHoopsShowcase?feat=directlink)!

Thanks for the pics! I have heard that he may lack the athleticism needed to be recruited by the big boys, but he can score. Rex Walters likes kids from top programs and it looks like Federal Way is No. 1 in WA.

Hopefully he can survive playing for one of the more questionable coaches in the state.

Classy. Can't speak to the sexual harassment allegations against that guy, but I can say Rainier Beach's coach comes across as a grade-A ####ole. Guy was too busy badgering the refs to go scrape up his player who'd crashed to the floor under the hoop. The dude has the look of a man with a permanent burr in his side.

Beach's coach (Bethea) also has a high perch in the pantheon of coaching evil.

Makes sense that he might have been sick. It seemed odd that Kerr was giving him a rest every 4-5 min; illness could explain it.

Only scored about 7, and I don't think he made a jumpshot. 0-4 on 3's that I remember, and 3 of em weren't close. He shot well in warmups, though. His shot looks fundamentally ok, but not real smooth. Hard to say if this was just an off day, as he seems to have the green light to shoot when open.

Pretty good ballhandler for a 6'4 wing, though he did turn it over in the lane a couple times forcing it in traffic. Early, Grant was getting to's off their press. That stopped when Adams started bringing the ball up.

Best attribute skillwise IMO is his court vision/awareness and passing. As Fu said, he'd have had a bunch of assts if his teammates could finish better. Probably had several anyway. I hesitate to say Bouldin-like in his passing and vision because I know it sounds over the top and probably is, but I saw glimpses of that. One example: late in the game, he had the ball on a backcourt sideline inbounds, and Grant was overplaying Franklin's guards. Looked like a 5 sec count or they'd have to call a to, but the pg went deep and Adams threw a perfect 50' lead pass where only his teammate could get it. Looked like a high risk pass, but it wasn't.

Since he's not a great shooter but passes and sees the game so well, I was wondering if he's being looked at as a pg. I'd guess Zags see him as a combo.

He could have the potential to be a Larry G-like defender IMO. Long arms and fast, and moves his feet well. Yesterday he got beat by some head and shoulder fakes and did the playground kid thing of reaching around from behind, but that's fixable stuff.

As to Franklin making their run w/o him, I don't remember that. Maybe they scored a couple while he was resting. They were much worse w/o him. He fouled out w/ a few sec. left in the 1st ot, and they lost the 2nd ot by 11-3 before a meaningless 3 at the buzzer.
