I think I root for Wake here ... Cincy is going to pick up some major wins in the Big East, while I hope that Wake can stay in the top half of the ACC.

I do think the Bearcats will win though.
So many brackets, so little time.

Cincy. It is better to have the teams we beat have a great season.

Wake vs Xavier is today. Wake does not play Cincinnati this yr.
"I enjoyed watching them play more than watching us play," Izzo said after watching his team eke out a 75-71 win over Gonzaga. "I thought they punched us in the mouth, picked us up and punched us in the mouth again."

lol ... okay ... I'd prefer Wake beat Xavier instead, or whoever else they might play today ...

            though I'd bet on Xavier.

I think the general rule is

that once you are done with a team, you pray that they win out - whether you beat them or not. If two teams that you have played play each other and all things are equal you root for whatever team has the best hair. This is from ESPN's College Basketball Encyclopedia.

It seems to me that the committee places a higher value on quality wins than almost any other category. Certainly it has a higher value than quality losses. Therefore, I believe when 2 teams play and you have beaten one, and lost to the other, it is generally best to have the team you beat win the game.

This discussion is not all that silly. If I don't have a "Zag reason" to watch a game, I don't - even if it is a huge national game. If I am going to take the time to watch a non-Zag game, I better be pulling for the right team because my force of will can influence the outcome.

                  And of Jesuit loyalty?

Really, guys, Xavier is Jesuit. Wake is Protestant. And from what I read on the on the Crosby you chaps are pretty orthodox. So I say down with Deamons and Devils. Go Musketeers. Sili
