Looking at our stats in terms of minutes played allows some interesting observations to emerge. First, the stats:

Name Mns R/Mn A/Mn TO/Mn PFMn ST/Mn Blk/Mn
Matt 34.4 .148 .108 .0756 .0494 .0552 .0029
Steven 32.7 .131 .073 .0795 .0520 .0275 .0183
Elias 26.9 .257 .026 .0632 .0967 .0372 .0186
Rob 24.9 .221 .004 .0723 .1245 .0080 .0562
Meech 27.2 .051 .048 .0661 .0882 .0588 .0
Bol 10.4 .163 .038 .0096 .0577 .0096 .0
KO 15.0 .220 .073 .0467 .1800 .0400 .0
G.J. 9.9 .030 .010 .0200 .1414 .0404 .0
Grant 11.3 .204 .106 .0796 .1062 .0266 .0177
Manny 9.8 .316 .082 .0408 .1122 .0102 .0204

Observations:
A. These figures are for only the top ten players to date in terms of minutes played per game. They were done by hand, so there will undoubtedly be some errors.
B. With the Personal Fouls/Minute and Turn Overs/Minute ratios, a lower figure is obviously preferable. For the others, the higher the better.
C. Matt & Meech are impressive with low Personal Fouls/Minute ratios but with high Steals/Minute ratios.
D. We have no point guard in the top 5 players in the Assists/Min ratio; Matt & Grant are our top two playmakers in terms of Assists/Minute.
E. Manny outshines Elias, Rob and KO as our top rebounder in terms of Rebounds/Minute.
F. Only three of our players currently appear in the top five for our team in at least four of the six ratios listed above, and they are all freshmen: Elias is in the top five in five of the six ratios, and KO and Manny are in the top five in four of the six ratios. In terms of these ratios, the three are playing some quality minutes.

Someday, somehow ... it would be wonderful to get a glimpse into Dr. Krause's notebook. I have a feeling that your data might well reflect some of his same findings.

I don't think your blocks/minute stat for Meech is correct, although it would be a pretty fun stat if it was.

Interesting that Rob and Kelly are rebounding at an identical rate. There have been threads that would imply otherwise.

The stats I like best: The Zags have 4 starters who are averaging double figures. All 5 starters are shooting 45.4% or better from the floor. The two bigs are shooting 55% and 59% percent, and the two wings are shooting 41%and 39% from 3 point land. The point guard, much criticized for his offense, is now averaging 8.2 PPG. The team overall is shooting 49% from the field and 38% from 3 point land.

Now if we can better that team free throw shooting percentage (69%), we'd really be in business.

Its not his ppg that I'm worried about, its his assists per game and his assist to turnover ratio. 1 assist per game is bad. 1 assist to 1.4 turnovers is even worse.

one thing that jumped out at me was RS averaging 24 mins, if I read that correctly. Bump that up to 30 or a little more and his production, in theory. would be greater, as well.

He seems to have the energy. So it would be a matter of one less swat at the ball or an opponent per 10 minutes played and he'd be even more effective.

Go TEAM Zags !

FT%, Off rebounds/game, and assists/game.

For some reason we aren't crashing the offensive boards. After a shot it seems like everyone is automatically just going back down court.

Assists are way low just like our FT%. Davidson had 25 assists, we had 11. Weird for the Zags!
