Anyone else want to see GJ and Meech get equal time to see who should really be running the point?

No.

I trust in Few and if I had any doubts there is Santangelo talking up Meech's D, which I agree with 100%. Meech is very tough and he will continue to improve, imho.

No, Meech is tough as nails -- the new persona of our team; GJ is a freshman who will emerge later when it is his time

Actually GJ is losing minutes to Grant Gibbs, and I have a sense that GG is taking over the backup job at point after his play against WSU. I am not that imressed with GJ. Sorry.

No. Zags need Meech's D.

I was just interested. I agree Meech is the perfect point guard for this team. He does not need to worry one bit about scoring, which I am afraid Pargo thought he needed to do even though he didn't.

Point Guard Competition
I think that is probably a daily occurrence, we just don't get to see it.

One bad game doesn't make DG a bad player, sheesh. He's had plenty of good games, and as soon as he finds a shooter's edge, he'll be a weapon to behold.

Meech can be the point guard of this team.. But he will never be the next "great gonzaga point guard." He's never going to be a Pargo, Dickau, Raivio, Stepp, Santangelo, or Hall... Although his Defense is worth gold in my opinion.

Meech is the man, but I'd like to see him keep his dribble longer at times and probe the defense more (but I think that will come with time...)

Most of the offense runs through Bouldin anyway.

In time, Meech and Matt (and Gray) will be able to find each other blindfolded with the backdoor cuts. And there was talk of Goodson developing a good jump shot over the summer. While he has hit a few, when he misses it seems like he loses the confidence to shoot again. This will also improve.

Until then, I'm quite happy with having the best on ball defender in the NCAA.

Meech, if by chance you peek at this blog site, and I hope you don’t, I heard a very good report from a student athlete in a different sport say how well liked you are by their team. From their description it sounds like you are a true “Southern Gentleman.” High praise I think.

Trust in Few!
