View Full Version : "Comebacks"

Though the team has been successful in coming back from large deficits to date, at some point in the not too distant future, say March, the adjustments may come too late or the deficit too large and the results season ending.

In gambling parlance last nights game was an easy game for a letdown after the Maui win, but I think this "trend" of falling behind, as also seen in the Colorado and Cincinatti games needs to be sorted out.

Like any chess match adjustments are made on the fly but I'm puzzled as to what is happening that allows the team to fall behind by double digits before the adjustments are made or at least, before the players respond to the adjustments.

I always used to marvel at how, say in football, Elway would be heralded and lauded as a hero for his last minute "comebacks". What about a bit of chastising his play in the first three quarters that allowed the team to fall behind?

And besides, I'm too old for "comebacks", the heart can't take it.

Agreed on that, not to mention that I'm drinking way to much single malt!

I didn't know there was such a thing as too much single malt.
