Watching Zags' young guys debut. Elias Harris is 6'8" inch Al Horford. The German is an excellent pickup! Matt Bouldin is so solid!

Elias is a throwback type player. Works hard and seems to do everything well. He's going to spoil us before he leaves for the NBA. Well trained in the fundamentals and he's focused, works hard, and just goes about his business.

He's a rare one. Few snagged a super kid. I don't think he'll be a secret for much longer. Let's see how he and Robert do against the likes of the Michiganders. Should reveal some character....

I hope he stays for at least a couple of years. It should be a good match up of Harris vs Derrick Nix (Mich State stud 6-8 freshman) on tuesday night. Can't wait.

I love how after watching Harris play 19 minutes against a team that won like 3 games last year, folks around here already have him leaving early for the NBA.

Remember Casey, J.P., Josh etc. and how they were "locks" for the NBA around here at one time too?

Seriously folks, take a deep breath and relax.

CC and JP were tweeners with college skills that couldn't quite translate to the big league. Josh had other things working against him, including injury. OTOH, Harris is more prototypical skill-wise and mentality.

I suppose you're right. Just trying to temper the over-the-top expectations for this kid and keep so many folks from being heart broken should he not meet them.

The only thing Harris is missing is body of work showing consistency. Watch him when the ball is on the other side of the court. Hard working, complete stud. No fall aways!

i'm not sure what seasontix is seeing, as harris is also too small to play the 4 in the nba, so the tweener designation applies to him just as much as casey, batista, or anyone else. unless his perimeter game really develops quickly, he should stick around at least a couple years. the only problem for harris might be that he doesn't get to develop his 3 skills while at gonzaga...
