Go catch this super soph from Lake Washington HS. He'd be a great Zag, in the tradition of Cory, Ronny, JP and now Rob.

His school's just up the street from me. I'll check who on the schedule is most likely to give him a battle, and post my impressions of the game.

Is an example of a Kangaroo turned Zag. Just sayin. There is precedent. However Silicon was a good Catholic boy in those days. :=)

Hey, you guys! Tryouts for the Kangaroos are on the 16th of November! Better buff up fast and make it over and contend for a spot on the roster! And while you're at it, we need a pic of DNH. I've been on the hunt for a snapshot for months!

Sili was a point guard for about 2 weeks on the LWHS team. The coach told him to chose between basketball or skiing. In those days you couldn't do both. It was an easy choice for me. The coach was kind of a hard nosed guy. And skiing was way more fun than basketball. Besides in those days, LWHS was exclusively a gridiron school. During my tenure we had a winning streak of something like 52 games. LWHS also has the most beautiful view of any High School I've ever seen. From the second floor you have a great view of Lake Washington. And there is a big purple Kangaroo painted on the gym. During my time Bothell and Mercer Island were the basketball powers.

Darien is probably #1 priority for GU for the class of 2012. Think Cory Violette plus 2 inches. Just a beast.

The difference this time around, Saint, may be Sacre, Harris, Olynyk, Poling, and Dower. If those bigs (and their "littler" teammates) can make some Big Time Noise over the next couple of years (talking Elite Eight and/or Final Four here), then every kid in the state may very well have the Zags on their radar.

This, Kiddwell truly believes.
