KHQ-TV to debut Mark Few Show

According to this not only will we get the Best Doggone Zags show, but also the Mark Few Show. Looking forward to that:

    Heister is a great interviewer

For whatever criticism I have of Greg Heister as a play-by-play announcer on TV, he really does great work as an interviewer. He got the former players to really bare their souls on the GU "Decade of Excellence" DVD. I still remember what a great job he did interviewing Fr. Tony Lehmann not long before he passed away.

He is funny and entertaining on the Zag show.

Few can be a tough guy to interview. Hopefully Heister can get him to talk a little bit.

Kiddwell's been wanting a Zags show for a long time. Only complaint: Unlike the OSU, UO, UW, and WSU shows, this'n doesn't appear to be carried on Fox NW.

Maybe KHQ will offer it online. Hope, I hope!

I wonder when the first episode will be. I checked the program schedule for KHQ, and I don't see it scheduled for this Sunday (day before the U of Alberta game) or the following Sunday. That day, November 8, will be the day after the Texas scrimmage, and an NFL game is scheduled on Q-6 that day. I guess we'll just have to wait and see ...

          I Don't Live in Spokane!

How about some love for the 75% of GU fans that don't live in Spokane? I would be happy to pay a few bucks for live KHQ access, but I don't see that happening soon under current network affiliate licensing contracts. Even if we can't get the games, how about live streaming the extra stuff?

KHQ said during their news a couple days ago that it will start this sunday.

low tech answer for out-of towners

Have a friend in Spokane hold the phone up next to the TV.

Actually, try KHQ's SWX link. I think they may put this online, although maybe not live.

Why would KHQ not automatically simulcast this show on FSN? FSN broadcasts lots of Zags games, after all. B-ball fans on cable and satellite who follow the Zags would watch, betcha. Could be a pretty big audience. Nationwide.

And here's a scheduling idea: Rebroadcast the most recent show just prior to Zags (FSN) games.

Kiddwell should call KHQ and ask them. Shouldn't Kiddwell do that if Kiddwell would like to know?

                        OK, here's the deal:

According to the news desk, since KHQ is an NBC affiliate, they don't broadcast the Mark Few Show with FSN. The Mark Few Show in parts, but not in its entirety apparently, is however broadcast on SWX.

All this is a tad confusing since FSN broadcasts KHQ's coverage of Zags games NOT picked up by CBS, ESPN, ABC, and Hanks Sports International. (OK, Kiddwell made up Hanks Sports to see if you're paying attention.)

In any case, if Fox is picking up KHQ's non-ESPN, non-CBS, non-ABC Zags bball games, why not pick up Mark Few's Show too?

                        <MDABE80, how'd Kiddwell do?>
