Anyone know if there is a chance the Alberta game might be picked up other than on KHQ? If not, the best Internet place to watch is where?

It's actually justin.tv, but the guy who owns justintv.com must be pretty sure he's going to fool a lot of people with his asking price :).

The issue, CB4, is how do Zags fans outside of the greater Spokane area see the game? Kiddwell's betting 99 cents it won't be broadcast live on KHQ's web site, correct?

Even a delayed web site 'cast would be better than none...anyone know? A search of the various Fox affiliates for the specified time do not show the game.

Zag Fan in Philly (sorry, I always butcher his handle) did an incredible service last year for many Zag games by uploading them to Youtube, in nine-part segments. He's back east, though, as I recall, and so will be out of range. I have DVR as well as DVD and hope to upload the Q-6 game in his stead, provided my technically savvy son will help his DVD-challenged mother. No promises, but I hope to try.

Can't wait for a real game!

!

That would be AWESOME! Zag fans outside the Spokane area, which now includes yours truly, will be very, very appreciative!

I think last year SWX, KHQ's sports affiliate, streamed a few games

Link:

http://wwitv.com/portal.htm

On left go down to USA(TX-WY)

Then scroll down to KHQ (which appears to be SWX material)

They even have a 2 min video from last night

Don't have any idea if any of this will work for the Nov 2 game but FWIW

In the "for what its worth" department, Alberta did not finish in the top 15 (Canada) for the 2008-09 season. I have not seen any pre-season rankings to this point.

Though this game should be somewhat more of a meter than the scrimmage, I would watch it knowing that U of A is not in a strong phase of its program.

RonThanks, ronh. Your insight is always valued here.

I, for one, am excited and honored to see Greg Francis' new team play in the MAC. As Manny and Kelly's former N.E.D.A. coach and coach of the junior National team, I just think it will be neat to see his former kids, now at Gonzaga, go up against their former coach's squad. That is a kick, anyway you look at it!

Of course, I know nada about University of alberta's team. I'm hoping the fellas at SlipperStillFits will have a preview up before the game. (I haven't seen one yet but might have missed it, though I did read a great interview with Coach Francis on SSF (http://www.slipperstillfits.com/2009/8/31/1009347/a-few-good-questions-with-canadian) a bit ago.)

He's sure got an interesting bio (http://www.basketball.ca/en/hm/inside.php?sid=1&id=2753). And it looks like they're optimistic about the future at U of A with his arrival (http://www.bears.ualberta.ca/Basketball/Men/?pt=news&ID=3565).

I hope they do well in their meet-up with Gonzaga, but of course not that well.

Zagnative, you are right, iam out of range...unless i can get a super antenna that can reach Spokane from Philly.
I'd load the game onto youtube if you are unable. All i need is the DVD of the game. If you have questions on how to get it on DVD, please PM me.
Go Zags!

I am very excited about our first game on monday against Alberta, however living in Phoenix there is little chance of me getting to see it unless someone streams it on justin.tv. Philly does an amazing job of streaming most of them and I was hoping he or someone else will show it so those of us not getting KHQ can watch. It would be greatly appreciated, anyone planning on it? Thanks

Go Zags
