For those of you with the abilty to look backward and to predict forward, which GU player had the last triple double for GU (if anyone), and do you see a reasonable likelihood that somebody could do it again in the next year or two?

Harris is a fascinating mystery to me. Some pretty decent offensive skills, a quick hand on defense that generated a fair number of steals in European ball, and enough energy to have pretty decent rebounding skills. Hmmmmm.

Is this like rubbing your stomach and patting your head at the same time?

Wasn't KO a triple-double machine in HS? I seem to recall some pretty gaudy stats posted around these parts.

I don't know if we have EVER had a player record a triple double. In recent history the most likely candidate would be Austin Daye, but he didn't get one.

Blake Stepp flirted with one in 2002 against LMU: http://sync.usatoday.com/sports/scores102/102019/102019454.htm

He did, but BC high schools play more minutes than schools down here.

I could see KO or Bouldin putting up a triple double...not sure if it's ever been done at GU, though.

Go Zags!!!

Three players come to mind- Magic, Kidd, Oscar. All big pg's. The assists are the hardest part. Blake coming close makes sense considering this. I remember luke Jackson getting one as a fr. for Oregon. I could see Bouldin getting one, or Gray, but the stars would really have to align. Maybe Arop or Olynik down the line. But you gotta get a lot of minutes too. Maybe in a double ot game or something.

Surprised that GU has never had a triple double. Here is an interesting factoid:

Stephane Lasme (2007 at UMass), Jason Kidd (1994 at Cal) and Michael Anderson (1986 at Drexel) share the NCAA Division I record of four triple-doubles in a single season.

Wow!

If we get a player that shoots over 85% from the free throw line (and regularly gets there), I'll forgive the team for no triple doubles.

Agree with either KO or Manny, and even Bol has the skills to possibly achieve the feat.

I always thought Pargo would get one at GU. He had a few games either his soph or Jr year that were like 12 pts 8 or 9 boards and 7 assist or something like that. I thought by the time he finished he'd get over the hump, but I guess it was just not to be.

The Zags have too much depth and breadth. Too many weapons making contributions. Ain't gonna happen.

Is a triple double a new combo at In N Out Burger ? ;)
