There are 51 Division I schools which have at least one alum in the postseason. UCLA leads the way with four, followed by Long Beach State with three. There are 12 schools with two players: Arizona State, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Gonzaga, LSU, Missouri State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and UC Santa Barbara.

The former Zags are cather Mike Redmond (Minnesota) and left-fielder Jason Bay (Boston).
