I know Mr. Few and company know this, but I watched quite a bit of that game and that is an athletic talented team....the Zags have to bring it and Spokane has to show up and turn the (what I think is crappy) bball floor at the arena into a monster K2 for these guys.

Yes, we are talented, skilled, athletic, long, quick, and deep. We pass really well and play very unselfish. When the "A" game shows up, we can be scary good. When we hit our shots, it's a beautiful thing to watch. We're good defensively. Our free throws can go either way. For the year, we've not been that good.

Antonio Anderson, a starter, sprained his ankle last night and only played a few minutes. No reports yet, as to the extent of the injury.

On paper, we should easily handle Tulane on Saturday and probably have a tough game on the road at Tulsa on Valentine's Day. But we'll play therm one at a time. We respect everyone but fear no one.

See ya on the 17th and I hope it's a good showing on national TV for both teams.........................and of course I hope for a TIGER victory.

Can't say I was that impressed with Memphis. If GU plays a good game I see now way Memphis wins.

Memphis will blow out Gonzaga is they turn the ball over like they did against Pepperdine. The Zags must take care of the basketball better than they have this year. If they do, they'll have a chance to win. The Zags will have 4 full days to prepare for that Memphis press....they'll need it.

If we still had the lay out of the old board where you could see the topics of each reply, then this thread would be a leading candidate for the following:

"Breaking New (NT)".

On Memphis gave a 3 point shooting clinic last night. If we play the kind of perimeter defense we did against Butler, he will surpass his effort against UAB. I agree with CDC84, I think we are going to be very lucky to beat them. Turnovers are not the only thing we need to improve on. We must also find a way to tighten up the perimeter defense. We should try to disrupt plays designed to kick out the ball, by sticking long Zag arms in the way of the passing lanes. These appear to be designed plays. The kind I wished we practiced more of. I like the fluidity of the Memphis offense. If nothing else it can serve as a prototype or blueprint for what we could be like if we would play with a little less predictability. Memphis is a handfull, a real handfull.

I watched the game last night, Memphis/UAB and Memphis looked OK. They are a good team as are all the teams in the top 25. We have to go out with the attitude that the last GU teams have had and kick their ass. The team that wants to win the most usually does and If I was on the floor I would do whatever I could possibly do in order to have a Zag win. Get Zagged up, play smart, take care of the ball, out hustle them, concentrate and make your shots. No Problem another Zag win. Goooooooooooooooo Zaaaaaaaag's!!!!!!!
