He's 6'11, and gozags.com says he's 232 lbs., but folks who've seen him over the summer say he looks to be 245 and playing very well. Out of Westview HS in Portland, he's workin' on some Zag hair ...

              RS Freshman #14 Andy Poling!

              GO BIG ANDY!

                A Zag is generous.

A Zag knows he is much more than the sum of his stats.

A Zag has a desire to be part of something that is bigger than himself.

Oh! Oh! Oh! At 5'11" 164 lbs., gozags claims, the fabulous savior of the Zags in the second round of the NCAA tourney, professor emeritus of the Zags' post-game dogpile ... Paulktran's youtube clip of that game winner is always worth another look!

                  Sophomore, #3, Meech Goodson!

Moving the ball against UNC in the Sweet 16. So how's this freshman liking playing for Gonzaga so far?

Be ready, Meech! Big stuff coming at you! Keep giving Mark Few that "peaceful, easy feeling" when the ball is in your hands for the game-winning shot!

                    The Freshmen!

WOW! WOW! WOW! Is this going to be big fun or not?

at 6'9", 215 lbs, out of Osseo HS, in Osseo, MN,

                    Freshman Sam Dower

Meehan's blog said this in announcing his verbal back on September 9, 2008:
"His left hook going over his right shoulder, it's just money," Watts said. "He can step out and knock down a 3. He can put it on the floor against slower, bigger guys. His hands and feet are probably his best attributes. He has extremely soft hands and great, great touch. … His upside is limitless."

Dower averaged 22 points and 11.5 rebounds on the AAU circuit in July.

Dower chose Gonzaga over George Mason, Marquette, Minnesota and Cal. .....

"When he came back to school (Monday), he said he loved the school (Gonzaga), the facilities and the biggest thing that impressed him was the coaches and players," Theisen said. "He was just in my room 25 minutes ago and he said, 'Hold on. I have to call somebody.' And he called (GU's Micah Downs) to tell him happy birthday, so he's developed a bond already."

6'6 185 lb. sg from Sudan via Edmonton and Regina, Canada and N.E.D.A, ESPN's Joel Francisco said of his performance at the Nike Global Challenge
                      Budding Bulldog
Gonzaga got a good one in 6-4 Mangisto Arop. He has a solid-looking frame and he can really fill it up from the 3-point line, especially in a catch-and-shoot set. His shot is smooth, and he isn't afraid to get physical on the inside (14 rebounds).

Can't wait for that Exhibition game against your old U19 and N.E.D.A. coach in K2 November 2, Manny! He's got to be so proud of you!

6'11" 215+ South Kamloops Secondary, Kamloops, B.C., Canada. N.E.D.A. and Canada Junior National Team, Coach Greg Francis said of him on Slipper Still Fits:
What I like about him is that he is hard to compare to. I've only seen Austin a few times and he is not the first comparison that comes to mind. Yes he has the size, but what Kelly can do is handle the ball. Guards can't even take the ball from him. He is very crafty and he isn't at his full quickness yet. I don't think big guys will be able to deal with his handles because he can get into the lane and use his body and do a lot of things. He's gonna be somebody that a lot of fans say "hmm, he's different, and I've never seen many players like him"
                          Freshman Kelly Olynyk!

Coach Greg Francis with Kelly at the U19 World Championships in Aukland.
