The Air Force game at K2 fell through, and the Falcons are not the foe in the Battle in Seattle. In short, it remains in the works, there is not an opponent yet.

How mysterious and exciting! Per another thread (which could of course be complete BS) they are supposed to announce details on BIS on June 25th at Hoopfest, so either the BIS people are very good at keeping secrets, or it must be one hell of a scramble on the telephone lines over the next 9 days to locate an opponent for GU at the BIS.
"Hello Kansas? Are you busy on December 12th? Would you and your team like the opportunity to watch guys throwing salmon? Have I got a deal for you!"

It is my factually unsubstantiated conclusion that Air Force decided it was very adverse to its health to play in K2 (much the same conclulsion apparently reached by 99.9% of BCS schools).

Although depleted from last season, I would love to see us play a Big East team in the BiS again. The physical play would be a wake up call for a young team playing on the "finesse" coast.
