If allegations are true, all wins in 07-08 could be erased and the Final Four could be erased, ala UMass and Michigan of years past.

Thanks for link Bob. I see that Memphis would have to give back its "Final Four" banner if convicted. Does anybody know whether they would also have to give back the money the NCAA pays teams for appearances in NCAA tournament games? I think it is a million dollars per game or more. Now there is a sanction that would catch the attention of some of these less than squeaky clean administrators.

One question I have, is how will this effect (affect?) Coach Cal at Memphis? Will there be similar consequences that IU encountered with Sampson?

With this happening last January, I have to believe UK knew what they were getting themselves into when they hired him. Should be interesting and I'm glad GU doesn't have to go through it.

Edit: From the ESPN article: Calipari left Memphis for Kentucky on March 31. The NCAA has requested his presence at the hearing, although he is not named in the report.

"Even though I'm not at risk, I will fully cooperate with the NCAA hearing," Calipari said in a statement. "... [I] will have no further comment."

So, nothing?

Question I had was if Memphis has to lose their wins, do the teams they beat get rid of a loss? Maybe the Zags can back a year or so and get a higher seed in the tournament! : D

In other UK news, John Wall pleaded guilty today. The prosecutor gave him a chance to keep his record clean if he stays outta trouble and does some community service.
