We talked about Kentridge's Gary Bell here before (http://www.guboards.spokesmanreview.com/showthread.php?p=379083), but I hadn't seen a Gonzaga connection with the super sophomore before in print outside this forum, until this morning's story on the WashingtonPreps.com (http://washingtonpreps.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=930214) (Rivals) site:
2011 Guard Gaining Interest

Schools have taken notice of Bell's abilities, as Washington and Cal have already stepped up to the plate with offers. Several Pac-10 schools as well as Gonzaga are also showing heavy interest. By the time his senior season rolls around, Bell should have his pick of schools.

"They [Washington and Cal coaches] said they like my poise and how I handle myself out on the court," explained Bell. "They like my shot and my length, and they also like that I'm a team player who plays good defense. He says that the coaches are looking at him to play point guard but he may grow into a shooting guard though he prefers to play the point.

He says he's not looking to decide early.

Uber thought Bell was the best player in the 4A state tourney despite Wroten's on court display.

Sure would be a great get for the Zags. We can only hope.
