Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the start time is an issue in this game. How often does NC play games that start at 10 pm? It's usually lights out for a squad on the road. For GU, I'm not sure the time change is necessarily an issue right away and that the game will feel more like a regular 7 o'clock tip. Maybe this is wishful thinking, grasping for any sort of edge, but it's making sense in my mind.

It starts 9:57 Eastern. 6:57 Pacific. So yes it will be a late start for UNC.:D

We have played 12 games this year starting at 9pm or later (twice at 10pm)... and we are 12-0 in those games, one of which was the 35-point win over Michigan State in Detroit (9:15 tipoff).

yeah but how many of those games were played in memphis, during a full moon, with a black cat running across the court as they announce the unc starting lineup - might as well mark it down, congrats on going 12-1 after 9pm

But did you know Michigan St. lost to Maryland by about 8 and Gonzaga throttled Maryland by almost 30?

And seven of those twelve were against some great teams... UC Santa Barbara, Kentucky, College of Charleston, Oregon, Nevada, Virginia, and perennial powerhouse, Chaminade.

From my experience, once the ball is tipped you forget what time it is. Time to play basketball.
