Howard Tsumura is the Vancouver province writer who covers B.C. High school sports. He has compared KO's talent to British Columbia's NBA players Steve Nash and Lars Hansen, as well as Euroleague veteran J.D. Jackson (current head coach of Euroleague team Le Mans of the French First Division).

He compares KO's talent as a comet that only gets seen briefly on a long journey.

GU will get to see four (perhaps five) years of him, can't wait.

I am in the same boat as most people since I haven't seen Kelly play... but every Canadian basketball player that dominates BC high school basketball is compared to Steve Nash. He's the only guy we got and the only great Canadian basketball player most writers know about so for lack of knowledge of the game, lack of pros, etc. most dominant players are compared to Nash.

My Appologies ZN, I hadn't seen your thread (although I thought I had checked well enough!, a lot of action on the board) you are, as usual, just to quick for me.

With regards to comparisons, Lars Hansen should also be familar to some GU supporters as he played at UW and with the Supersonics in the 70s. Jackson was an immense talent, who chose to go the Euro route and was a French League allstar.

No problem at all, Oz. I just thought if the link in your post was dodgy, the one in mine might help.

I am so excited about Kelly, especially since his play with Manny on the Junior National Team will help keep us entertained over the summer.
