I hope so. Black v. Powder Blue. Nice contrast. I think our guys have a swagger wearing the blacks.

I was wondering when this was going to start -- I say yes, intimidate them a tad. Ira looks awfully mean in black, so does Pargo and Meech.

Men in Black vs. Boys in Baby Blue. ;)

Doubt it. I think teams have to go with standard home and away (high seed/low seed) colors during the tourney, even if they get some fancy if understated pinstripes.

If they wear those black unis with the blue trim, they'll resemble Dook. . .not a good thing, in my mind, but hey ! I don't care what they wear as long as the front of the unis sez "Gonzaga" or "Zags"

Maybe some of those prospective Duke recruits (and others) will rethink the Duke track---black unis might be good on the recruit end of things for Zags with this Nat'l exposure. Kids love the blacks.

Unless I'm mistaken, it is actually the choice of top seed. But yeah, the lower seed has no choice in the matter, and standard unis only.

I've never heard a rule about standard uniform sets only. I doubt we'll be in black, though, especially since this graphic was released by Nike:

It's the same style as the white, but in Navy. I'm sure this (monstrosity) is what they'll be wearing Friday.

By the way, on those jerseys it was said that Pargo helped design a Spike bulldog collar somewhere, but I don't see it, does anyone else?

Theroyal blue unis from 1999 would look the best.

Just skimmed the uni rules---if these are the "correct" rules that apply to the tournament---don't see any support for the above quoted statement---but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

"Uniforms. 3-5.10. Opposing team uniforms shall be of contrasting colors.
The home team shall wear light game jerseys and the away team shall wear
dark game jerseys. Note: This rule may be altered by mutual consent of the
competing institutions."

According to this (http://www.nikebiz.com/media/pr/2009/03/10_NCAAUniforms.html), the spiked collar is represented by the 3/4 circle of spikes around GO ZAGS.

I love the black unis! The Zags have the best karma in them, they kick total a$$ wearing them! I say yes to the black unis!

As a UGA fan, I say no!!!

Yeah, the black UGA football unis did not help anything.

I'd rather go back to the plain, navy, name on backs that worked well for the last nine years. I'd even put the red stripe back through the numbers. But what do I know.

We didn't end up wearing them vs. Memphis. They came out for the first time against St. Mary's. No losses in them yet.

"*Cough* Memphis"

I don't believe we wore the black uniforms for the Memphis game.

if we wear them then everyone must wear Black socks and preferably Black sneakers. Wearing White socks looks Micky Mouse. Did you notice Memphis when they played at Spokane? Now that was intimidating. All were wearing the same Black socks and all had Black sneakers. I think that was the main reason we got taken to the woodshed. :p

If we go Black then do it right:D

*Cough* Memphis

like someone posted above, they didn't wear them at Memphis. It was rumored that they would, but they ended up wearing new white unis with no names on the back.

Black or blue, we'll be the visitors. But better the dark unis so we can be the Underdogs

I don't care if they come out in pink uniforms with knee high navy and pink polka-dot socks as long as they play with the fire they showed in the WCC tournament. Getting off to a fast start will go a long way towards a victory over UNC.
