Kind of interesting.....they have Gonzaga as a 7 seed - even after the LMU loss.

We have played 8 of the tp 34 seeds and actually we are one of the tope 34!

Oddly, or maybe not, someone told me Ken Palm has the Zags as a 7 seed, even after LMU. Too high, imo, but fwiw.
I like Nevada's #7 matchups far more than ours in this Media Poll.

I would venture to guess that part of the reason people still place us high even while we question our bubble status is because of what you said, roxdoc. It's hard to ignore our ooc strength of schedule when those opponents are consistently ranked high (Butler, Texas, WSU, UNC, Duke, Memphis) and when the rest are much better than originally advertised (Virginia, Georgia).

Sorry - somehow I missed Virginia - lol, I have put that event as far out of my mind as possible - so we have played 9 of the top 33 not counting us.

This is perfect...when Kansas makes their annual First Round exit we can sent the Catamounts packing.

i agree with a 7-11 seed for us. no way you leave a team out that has our resume as far as competition, top25 wins, etc. lmu loss or not.

nevada as a seven? maybe i havent been paying much attention to them recently but that seems kind of low? i think we are deserving of a 7-11 seed at this point...i'd rather be on the bottom of the bracket possibly lined up against a 2 or 3 seed if we get to the second round....
i will continue to state that this team would benefit TREMENDOUSLY going into the ncaa tournament under the radar and the lower the seed, quite possibly the better imo but it all depends on the matchup...one bad matchup and seeding means jack

If you want another journalists point of view, here is Forde's:

I'll probably complain again this year about the bracket, but at least now i know what goes into it.
BZ, youre right, Kansas has no shot in the first round.
