Next March.

It's a type of lottery, so no guarantees. But you can't get any if you don't try.

If Villanova can play in Phili as a #3 seed, GU could end up playing in Spokane next March as a 1-4 seed...

(Also, unlike the Final Four ticket lottery, this one is free)

For Bay Area hoops fans - San Jose is also hosting rounds 1&2 next year. Here is the application for that site:

(If GU makes the tourney and doesn't stay in Spokane, there's a decent chance they'd be sent here)

Why is there a lottery for the 1st and 2nd round? The stadiums this year looked like they were half full (or half emptey)

Thanks for that tidbit of info. We were on the fence (as we weren't sure if we would have jobs next year - easy to get time off, hard to pay for tickets!)

Last year we had to pay and didn't get money back for months.

I like this way much better.

Some places easily sell out, other places don't. I'm pretty sure Spokane sold out last time and will again this time.

Entered for Salt Lake Regionals as well. No money down unless you win. No brainer.

I'm entered as well, money well spent. Incidentally does anyone besides me think Spokane would have put more than the 2800 fans, roughly, in the stands for Rounds 1 & 2 of the Seattle bracket of the women's tournament? Even without Gonzaga, I know Spokane would have done better than that. Of course, there is the arguement, (the U.S. Figure Skating championship folks mentioned this) that when an event of this magnitude is in Spokane, it is the only game in town and Spokane turns out in droves. In bigger cities, in other climates, there are other things to do. Still 2800 in Seattle stinks.

They'll probably be ~$160/ticket for all games on both days. I think I saw somewhere that tix were ~$55 per seat per session (3 total sessions) in Portland this year.
