Not a very sexy stat, but WKU shot 5 for 14.

In the last 4 post season games (2 in WCC, 2 in NCAA), GU is shooting FT's at 72-91 or 79%.

What did we average on the season?

I believe it was 70%, but I'm too lazy to look it up. :)

Didn't WKU get fouled 3 times while shooting the 3? I know the last guy made the 3 FTs.

Some have said that if WKU hits 3 or 4 more FTs they would have won. Not necessarily; if they make those FTs, the later situations might have played out differently. For one thing, GU would probably not gone to the prevent offense that almost let WKU win the game. No one can say for sure how the game would have played out...kinda like the Patti Mills injury game at K2.

This was my first thought as well. Had they made the free throws they would not have been down by nine with about 2 minutes left. Maybe they do not hit the rushed, and incredible, shots that they did. Once again all speculation, but merely my response to the missed free throw argument.

Gonzaga's free throw percentage for the season was 70.8 %

The put them at 107th in the country

That is a statistically significant improvement. It also makes a difference that our good shooters are getting to the line more, and our more challenged one are not.
