Zags > Zips.

Win the 1st half by 3, lose the 2nd half by 16 doesn't get it. I hope you have a good run and we meet again someday. It was fun.

Good luck.

Thanks for forcing the Zags to start playing their best again. Akron is good.

good game, Akron ! well disciplined players and tremendous guts, too. Looked like a chinese fire drill out there at times.

You will be back.

Tough bunch of hombres, those Zips. Gonna be a handful next year. Best to 'em.

03-19-2009, 06:19 PM
Akron is a very solid team. Nothing to be ashamed of tonight. Your guys left it all on the floor. Hope to see you in the dance next year but would not want to face you again!

03-19-2009, 06:21 PM
Congrats to Akron for a great effort. Hold your heads up.

03-19-2009, 06:24 PM
OMG you guys are tough!

Memphis Tough for the first 3/4 of the game.

What a great performance tonight Akron! Gave me a semi-local team to pull for next year!

03-19-2009, 06:28 PM
Akron sure as hell scared me!

Im was tipsy drunk before be started putting it together

The Akron kids played great, smart basketball. You guys are tenacious and can really pass the ball well, and take care of it. That'll keep you in games. We hear you have a top rated 7 footer coming in next year. Akron might be even more of a handful in coming years, and experience some Ws in the tournament. Your team is certainly well coached.

Great game!! Hats off to Akron for one awesome game!!!

Good luck in the future!!!

03-19-2009, 07:23 PM
That was a great game for our team imo because we had to make every possession count, limit turnovers, and play tough. If GU makes it deep this year, we owe a lot to the Zips for a good opening game.

Hats off to the Zips. You're really gonna miss Linhart next year. The fans that dropped by seem like good folks, too.

Hats off to Akron. Classy team and classy fans.

Hats off to the Zips! No quit in those kids. As young as they are they will be back.

03-19-2009, 09:45 PM
Zips you guys played a great game and have a ton of class.

Good luck next year.

03-19-2009, 09:56 PM
thank you all Gonzaga fans. I'll be there on Saturday pulling for you against the 'Toppers. You were all classy and I'm hoping you guys can bring home a championship so I can say we lost to the Champs.

by the way, Pargo's dunk on McNees was insane!!!!!!!

03-19-2009, 09:59 PM
Only respect. You earned it. You are champions.

Congratulations to you all ,and to Coach Dambrot.

Much respect, Zips. A team with a collective warrior's heart. Unselfish, thoughtful, tough, adaptable. Heck of a game.

I'm not surprised the Zips played as hard as they did. The Zips are probably 1 man from not only coming back to the dance but advancing as well. The 7 footer they are getting will really make this team much more dangerous...GREAT season Zips....and keep those dacing shoes ready for next year.

You all will be back again at the Big Dance again. No doubts in my mind.

It was a long trip from Akron to Portland, and the results weren't what I'd hoped for. But I'm so glad I made the trip. The Zips played their hearts out against a great Zags team and came up a little short. Now that I've seen the Zags in person, I have a better understanding of how far the Zips have to go to reach that level.

I am so impressed with the Zags players and fans. You folks are first class. I'm going to be cheering for the Zags for the rest of the tournament, and hope you go all the way and win your first National Championship.

Wow, what an effort put out there by the Zips. For a minute there it felt like the Zags were up against speed racer.

I'll give my better late than never congrats to Gonzaga.

You guys are a very, very good team. We played arguably our best 30 minutes of the year and couldn't get any separation. At the the end, the better, more experienced team prevailed.

I'm rooting for you guys to get it done against another very good Western Kentucky team and beyond.

Go Zags!

This may upset some fellow Akron alums, but I don't care. Also go Cleveland State!

Before I check out of here, I hope we meet again. For our sake, and where we want to go as a program, we need to play you guys again ... home and home??? To the adminstrations at each school, lets get it done.
